Mansfield Police Log: Resident Suspects Computer Hackers Near Home, 18 Year Old Tries to Use Fake ID and More

The following information was provided by the Mansfield Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

January 25

8:26 a.m. - Mansfield PD respond to a call on Cowan Lane concerning two vehicles parked on the road. The caller believes that the occupants of the vehicles may be attempting to hack into his computer. 

On the scene, Patrolman William Trudell reported that the occupants of the vehicle were contractors working at a house on the street.

2:32 p.m. - After responding to a report of an attempt to buy alcohol from Dub’s Liquors with a fake ID, Mansfield PD arrested and charged Caroline Stanclift, 18, of Normumbega Drive, Camdem, Maine with attempting to purchase liquor as a person under 21 and forge/misuse of a RMV document.

3:38 p.m. - After bring pulled over, William Major, 19, homeless, was arrested on a warrant and charged with under 21 possession of liquor, unlawfully transporting liquor, an equipment violation for an inoperable break light, and carrying a dangerous weapon (brass knuckles).

 

5:02 p.m. - Matthew Pikop, 26, if 6 Jefferson Street #1, Cambridge was arrested on School Street and charged with operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration.

 

January 26

6:20 p.m. - Kelly Buchtman, 18, 28 Pine Needle Lane was arrested with a warrant and was later released on $40 bail.

 

7:53 p.m. - On the corner of School St. and Otis St., Sean Leary, 26, of 122 Rumford Ave #L was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle (expired license).

 

January 27

1:57 a.m. - On the corner of East Street and Stearns Ave., Matthew Kuplast, 21, of 23 Jake's Way was arrested on two default warrants.
