Mansfield Police Log: Sept. 19-25

The following is from the Mansfield Police Log.

Sept. 19

11:35 a.m. James Kim, 26, of 8 Shagbark Rd. in Easton was arrested on Thomas Street in Mansfield after police pulled him over. After checking his record, police found that Kim had his license suspended because of a past OUI offense.  Kim was also found to be in possession of heroin.

11:55 a.m. An employee reported that he was outside behind the NexGen store in Mansfield Crossing when he heard the store’s buzzer go off. When he came inside, he found the register open with a large amount of money missing.

2:44 p.m. Caller reported that his home on Mill Street had been broken into. At 3:30 p.m., the reporting party called again and stated that he located items he believes the thief was looking for.  Police reported that this is possibly in reference to stolen military documents and they are following up with the Council on Aging and the veterans agent.

4:34 p.m. Caller reported that his residence on Oakland Street had been broken into sometime during the day.

5:26 p.m. Reporting party stated that credit card fraud had occurred.

9:37 p.m. Caller reported that a friend of hers was robbed at knifepoint by a male party outside the Cumberland Farms on Chauncy Street. The reporting party stated that there was some sort of drug deal, and the victim knows the suspect. Victim would not give his name, or any other information. Employees at Cumberland Farms did not report seeing anything unusual.

 

Sept. 20

5:25 a.m. Caller reported a possible break in at the train station. Police confirmed no entry was gained in the attempt.

5:07 p.m. Caller reported coming home and finding her residence broken into on Sturbridge Drive. All her jewelry was reported missing.

5:46 p.m. Michael Mackenzie, 20, of 153 Branch St.  was arrested for assault with a dangerous weapon on Central Street. Police were alerted to an altercation on Central Street between two males.

Sept. 21

6:20 p.m. Caller reported that someone had thrown a watermelon at her vehicle on Gilbert Street and that the vehicle had taken damage.

11:56 p.m. Several calls came in reporting a group of four males in costumes “jumping out at cars” on Fruit Street in the area of the bike path.

 

Sept. 22

2:19 p.m. Heather Morgan, 28, of 186 North St. in Foxborough was arrested for shoplifting at the Mansfield Crossing Sports Authority. She and a male party were exiting the store with clothing items that had tags and security devices illicitly removed.

 

Sept. 23

10:14 a.m. Barbara Correia, 67, of 13 Bonney Ln. was arrested for violation of a restraining order.

4:50 p.m. Reporting party stated that his vehicle was broken into while parked on West Street.

 

Sept. 24

1:47 a.m. Daniel Glavin, 37, of 47 Oakland St. was arrested for domestic assault and battery. Police requested an “emergency 209A order” (restraining/abuse prevention order) from Judge McSweeney.

10:07 a.m. Caller reported that two young males on bicycles harassed him on three separate occasions while he was jogging on Woodland Way. Caller reported that they try to run him off the road with their bicycles and made “gun signs” with their hands in his direction.

5:44 p.m. Charles Plant, 21, of 27 Highland Ave. was arrested for possession of a class B substance and two counts of bicycle violations.

 

Sept. 25

1:35 p.m. Caller reported that his vehicle was broken into during the night on Balcom Street and his wallet was taken from the vehicle.

4:27 p.m. Security company alerted police to a motion alarm in the Lagasse building on Sufolk Road. Police investigated the issue to find a bird flying in the building.
