Mansfield Police Log Through August 23

The following is from the Mansfield Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned they do not indicate convictions.

August 23

6:41 a.m. Arrest Report. William C. Brown, 31, of Gilbert Street was arrested on an outstanding warrant. 

8:21 p.m. Disturbance/General. Fulton's Pond, Rumford Avenue. Officers responding for a group of kids making noise at Fulton's Pond. Large group around 13-years-old advised of the complain and will be moving along.   

11:20 p.m. Suspicious Person/Motor Vehicle. Tedeschi Food Shop, 242 Chauncy Street. Off duty officer reports a male party in the bushes behind behind the ATM in Tedeschi's plaza. Officer attempted to identify male but he fled and got into a motor vehicle. All clear. Male states he was urinating behind the ATM. 

August 25

1:23 a.m. 
General Services. York Road. Homeowner, who is on vacation, reports receiving a call from her neighbor stating that her 19-year-old son, who is home alone, is having a party. She would like a check of the residence. Door knob to basement door was broken when some of the kids fled through the basement, unable to secure door. A 16-year-old and 17-year-old were both arrested for person under 21 possession of liquor. 

1:29 a.m. 
Disturbance/General. Bonney Lane. Party reports a loud party in the area. Parties have been advised. 

2:18 p.m. 
Arrest/warrant. Reporting Party into the station to speak with officers in regards to a warrant issued for her. Diane M. Lahey, 56, of Rumford Ave., was arrested on an outstanding warrant. 

3:20 p.m. Animal Complaint. Central Street. Party in lobby reports chickens running around on Central Street. Officer reports about 10 chickens in the roadway, looking for owners. Chickens returned to backyard. 

6:01 p.m. Animal Complaint. Elm Street. Party reports his dog was attacked today by neighboring dogs. Verbal argument between owners was also reported. 

9:53 p.m. Disturbance/General. Hidden Lane. Caller reports a loud party going on in her house. Officer reports block party in winding down, DJ is leaving, people are going inside.
