Mansfield Police Support Massachusetts Special Olympics

Mansfield police officers participated in the annual Cruiser Convoy this weekend, recognizing the achievements of Special Olympics athletes.

On Saturday, members of the Mansfield Police Department participated alongside officers from all over Massachusetts in the annual Cruiser Convoy for the Special Olympics. The police officers caravanned from three starting points across the state, and then came together at Harvard University where they were given the honor of presenting medals to the incredible athletes who competed in this summer’s games. This event is one of many fundraisers established by officers around the state as a part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run program, in support and recognition of local athletes.

The Mansfield Police Association is also sponsoring the 2nd Annual Run from the Cops 5k Run/Walk on Sunday June 22. The event will be held at the Mansfield High School and is dedicated to the memory of Kailyn Krishtal, a Special Olympics Athlete from North Attleboro. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and participants can pre-register, sponsor a runner/walker and find out additional information here. More information can also be found on on the Mansfield Police Department’s Facebook page.
