Walter Langley was killed by a drunk driver in 1983.

A memorial for fallen Mansfield Police Officer Walter P. Langley was dedicated Sunday.

Langley was killed on Oct. 2, 1983 when a drunk driver hit him while he was checking on a disabled vehicle at the Copeland Driver underpass.

Officials dedicated the memorial during a ceremony Sunday. A sign was unveiled by his granddaughters.
