Mansfield Police are investigating a string of burglaries, in which copper wiring was stolen.
Police responded to multiple calls on Ware Street and West Street on Oct. 30 after someone kicked in doors and stole cooper. In one incident, the thief stole more than 100 feet of wire.
Thieves steal scrap metal, such as copper, and then sell it. It has become a bigger problem as scrap metal value has increased in recent years.
