Police Log: Aggressive Turkeys, Loose Cats and Dog, and More

The following information was provided by the Mansfield Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Saturday, Jan. 25

At 9:28 a.m., a caller reported a small white dog running around in the area of the bike path. Officers were unable to find the dog. 

At 12:26 p.m., a resident on West Street reported that there was a flock of aggressive turkeys in his yard that will not let him get to his car. Police escorted him to his car and the animal control officer was notified to follow up on Monday. 

Monday, Jan. 27

At 8:32 a.m., the manager of Medline on West Street reported that there were loose cats in the building. The animal control officer set traps for the cats. 

At 11:43 a.m., a resident came into the station to leave a message for the animal control officer regarding coyotes on his property. The message was passed on.
