Police Log: Break-in Reported on Francis Avenue

The following is from the Mansfield Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned they do not indicate convictions.

Monday, Oct. 21

At 6:22 a.m., police summonsed an Attleboro man for operating a motor vehicle without a license. Police pulled over the man on School Street.

At 9:55 a.m., police summonsed a Taunton woman for operating a motor vehicle without a license and speeding. Police pulled over the woman on Maple Street.

At 12:48 p.m., police responded to Williams Street concerning a woman bitten on the forearm by a dog.

At 2:49 p.m., a Francis Avenue resident reported that someone broke into a residence and stole silverware and a figurine. Police are investigating.

At 4:39 p.m., police summonsed a Hyde Park resident for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and speeding. Police pulled over the driver on West Street.

Tuesday, Oct. 22

At 8:24 a.m., police received a call from School Street about stolen construction items taken over the weekend.

At 1 p.m., police responded to West Street concerning a shoplifting. A store employee reported a man in his early 20s wearing baggy pants and a red shirt fled in a vehicle toward Norfolk Street. The employee checked the store and found a bottle was stashed behind boxes near where the suspect was standing.

At 2:43 p.m., police received a call from Copeland Drive after a man reportedly was asking for money to pay his rent. The man left the property when asked.
