Police Log: Breaking and Entering, Animal Complaints, and More

The following is from the Mansfield Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned they do not indicate convictions.

Wednesday, August 28

12:35 p.m. Arrest Report. Oakland Street. Angel L. Colon, Jr., 31, of Foxboro was arrested and charged for operating under the influence of liquor, operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger, leaving the scene of property damage, number plate violation to conceal identity, an unregistered motor vehicle, and a marked lanes violation.

10:11 a.m. Larceny (felony). American Paper Recycling, 100 Copeland Drive. Reporting Party walked into the station to report check fraud. Clear. 

12:21 p.m. Animal Complaint. Stearns Avenue. Reporting Party called to report a dead dog in the roadway. Dog picked up by owner who resides over the line in Easton. Owner will make own arrangement. 

7:33 p.m. Larceny (felony). Copeland Drive. Reporting Party reports about a hour and a half ago a male party stole lottery tickets. Officer reports receiving a picture from the surveillance camera and shows a male party with a red t-shirt, jean shorts, white and black sneakers, with a black red sox hat with a yellow B.  He fled the bike on the area. 

8:01 p.m. Larceny (motor vehicle). Reporting Party reports his motor vehicle was taken from his driveway. The keys were not in the motor vehicle and no one else had access to it. Reporting Party checked with the loan company. He is a few payments behind but the company stated they did not repossess it. 

Thursday, August 29

8:18 a.m. Malicious Damage. West Street. Reporting Party reports someone poured sauce all over her car. 

10:01 a.m. Breaking and Entering (motor vehicle). Ridgeview Lane. Reporting Party thinks her car was broken into last night. She advised she wants to file a report but she will not be coming in until tonight or tomorrow. 

11:03 a.m. Disturbance/General. Rumford Avenue. Several loud gunshots or fireworks reported in the area. 

Friday, August 30

1:08 a.m. Arrest Report. North Main Street. Muhammed Chaudhry, 27, of Fulton Place was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to notify RMV of name/address change, unlicensed operation of motor vehicle (failure to obtain MA license), and failure to wear a seatbelt. 

2:46 a.m. Disturbance/general. Oakland Street. Caller reports a group of youths being loud in the area. Officer spoke to a group of youths on the front porch. They are going in for the night. 

8:40 a.m. Breaking and Entering (Motor Vehicle). Reporting Party reports her car was broken into last night. Officer reports $15 was taken and a bottle of axe body spray was left in the car. 

10:12 a.m. Larceny (Misdemeanor). Brook Street. Reporting Party reports his cell phone was stolen.

1:11 p.m. Larceny (Misdemeanor). Franklin Street. Reporting Party reports someone is stealing scrap metal from his house. 

5:56 p.m. Harassment/threats. Reporting Party into station to report being harassed on the phone. 

6:13 p.m. Suspicious person/Motor vehicle. Dub's Liquors, 30 Chauncy St. Caller reports two highly intoxicated males creating a problem in the liquor store. 

6:35 p.m. Animal Complaint. South Street. Caller reports her yellow snake is under her porch. Animal Control Officer notified. 

7:09 p.m. Animal Complaint. Charles Street. Caller reports a pair of Dachshunds running around loose.

Saturday August 31

12:24 p.m. Disturbance/general. West Street. Reporting Party reports a loud party. Parties were advised of the complaint, some of the party goers are leaving and those who can't drive will be staying the night. 

8:52 a.m. Breaking and Entering (motor vehicle). Hope Street. Reporting Party into the station to report a breaking and entering into his motor vehicle as well as his wife's last night. 

1:41 p.m. Breaking and Entering (motor vehicle). Reporting Party reports four days ago someone stole an iPod and some other items from his car. The reporting party wants the department to know and does not want to file a report.
