Police Log: Breaking and Entering, Attempted Fraud, and More

The following is from the Mansfield Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned they do not indicate convictions.

Tuesday, Nov. 26

At 7:10 a.m., caller from Basin Street reported that their vehicle was broken into last night. A car was also broken into on Benefit Street. '

At 9:56 a.m., a resident reported that a heavily accented male called two days in a row trying to gain remote access to his computer under the guise that it was infected with a virus. When the resident asked for basic information, the caller hung up. No information was compromised but the resident wanted to incident logged. 

At 6:55 p.m., a resident from Basin Street reported that his car was broken into overnight. 

At 7:32 p.m., police received a report of a large black cat dead in the road. The DPW collected the Cat and disposed of the body.
