Trouble maker drunks will cause a problem no matter what.
BH January 07, 2014 at 10:02 AM
So you guys are condemning a whole business because two adults can't control themselves and act like adults, seems fair....
HJ January 07, 2014 at 01:25 PM
Two arrests in maybe two weeks of being open. That's a bad pattern.
tyl January 07, 2014 at 02:16 PM
maybe these people were drunk when they arrived and Flynn's was forced to call police to remove them.
BH January 07, 2014 at 03:25 PM
So should Kohls be held responsible for shoplifters? I mean they have merchandise there, which enables thieves. This is a poor argument and a non issue. Immature adults happened to be at this restaurant and not another, end of story.
HJ January 07, 2014 at 09:07 PM
I knew Kohl's (and other stores in the Commons) would attract shoplifters, like a moth to a flame. Talkmansfield is correct, that the bartender has the option to cut off the drinker before he/she gets too intoxicated.
tyl January 08, 2014 at 08:09 AM
again, how do you know these people didn't arrive drunk and refused to leave. No where does it say Flynn's served them so you cannot assume that is the case. From what I have heard the young groups that used to frequent Casey's have gone there looking for the same type of place and Flynn's is not that type of establishment.
BH January 08, 2014 at 11:29 AM
Exactly tyl, TalkMansfield can't understand that. Since a place sells alcohol, they are responsible for the actions of everyone once they walk in: false. They are only responsible if they have over-served them, which it doesn't say they did.

My name isn't Brian, I don't know who BHL is. Good sleuth work tho?
BH January 08, 2014 at 04:27 PM
You read the police log? I'm proud of you. Everyone who commented here read it. It said nothing about Flynns over serving or even serving these customers.
BH January 08, 2014 at 05:10 PM
My "debate" is knowledgable and informed. You just come on here and troll. Who do you think I am? Because I assure you I am not the person you are referring to me as. Nice try though. Also, I do have birthdays as many do, perhaps a typo also. But you're right, I'm faking my age on here to gain an advantage of what? Or to further my agenda in what? You may be on to something here, why don't you go back to the site you don't own.

The wildcard in any bar/tavern/restaurant business is :::: the general public:::: and you never know what one idiot, irresponsible person is capable of. One drunk or addict can ruin a place. Sad.
Oleg Pokotilov January 13, 2014 at 09:41 PM
Yes its bar fault for either letting them in already drunk or overserving!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tina Mqs January 14, 2014 at 08:19 AM
The Patch Troll with at least 8 different online identities has it bad for several people and in their obsession is making a few mistakes. Further, there's no one involved in KMB who deters anyone from joining conversations- only people like trolls who seem to have an unreal amount of time and focus to spend on this nonsense.
Tina Mqs January 14, 2014 at 08:25 AM
Sunset, right...if you want business, you have to open your doors and take a chance. Oleg, overserving is one thing, but if people walk in already half drunk, it's not their fault, All they can do is not serve them at all from their bar.
Oleg Pokotilov January 15, 2014 at 07:58 PM
Tina they should have security/bouncer at the doors to make sure nobody already drunk comes in and makes trouble & giving new bar bad rep
tyl January 15, 2014 at 09:21 PM
They are a restaurant with a bar. You don't see places like Olive Garden, TGIF etc have a bouncer so why should Flynn's? They have already made it clear in the paper they are not going to be serving jagerbombs shots like that etc.
BH January 15, 2014 at 09:23 PM
I can easily be drunk and walk around perfectly fine and not yell or act out, "bouncers" can't test someone's blood alcohol.
HJ January 15, 2014 at 09:40 PM
I've been subject to one of those DUI checkpoints and the cops don't test blood alcohol level. They shine a flashlight in your eyes and ask you a couple questions. The bouncers could look for slurred speech & dialated pupils. Boom, problem at Flynn's is over and my family can enjoy a meal without a WWE match breaking out.
BH January 15, 2014 at 09:50 PM
I can also speak clearly and when they flash a light your eyes, they will always be dilated. It's too tough to tell, some people are sloppy, some seem and look perfectly fine. ALSO the police report doesn't say they were drunk or over served. For all we know it was a sober fight.
Tina Mqs January 16, 2014 at 08:00 AM
well, there is that, isn't there? lol
Oleg Pokotilov January 16, 2014 at 02:35 PM
TY DONT CAMPARE APPLES TO ORANGES Flynn makes their $$ from bar not restaurant
tyl January 16, 2014 at 02:40 PM
It is a restaurant just like Jimmy's Asia Grill, the 99 etc where there is a bar. WHY should Flynn's have a bouncer?? It is not the same establishment as before. Just because someone walks in somewhere drunk does not mean the place needs to have a bouncer. Their obligation is to not serve them and make sure they do not drive.
BH January 16, 2014 at 02:56 PM
Sorry OLEG but this owner already operates successful restaurants around Mass and they win awards for their food.
