Police Log: Injured Deer on the Train Tracks, Shoplifting from Stop & Shop

The following information was provided by the Mansfield Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, they do not indicate conviction.

Saturday, Jan. 18

At 3:54 p.m., a loss prevention officer from Stop & Shop reported having a female shoplifter detained. Police detained another woman involved at Classic Pizza. Lisa S. Anderson, 48, of Franklin was arrested for shoplifter over $100 by asportation and Simone, 43, of Plainville was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Sunday, Jan. 19

At 7:41 a.m., a caller reported a dead deer in the Roadway on Elm Street and Partridge Lane. The carcass was moved off to the side of the road and the DPW was notified/ 

At 1:08 p.m., police responded to a report of an injured deer on the tracks on North Mains Street. The deer wasn't on the tracks but they found it had to put it down. Two shots were fired.
