Police Log: Mansfield Man Charged with Attempted Murder

Wednesday, Oct. 30
At 9:12 a.m., police responded to Copeland Drive concerning a stolen storm grate.
At 9:45 a.m., police received a call from West Street about a possible injured fox. The fox was not injured or sick, and ran into the woods.
At 11:40 a.m., police arrested Keith Jones, 21, 103 Aries St., Apt. 1, Boston, and charged him with destruction of property more than $250 and a warrant.

At 3:03 p.m. police received a call from West Street about a fox in the area. Animal control responded and the fox ran into the woods.
At 3:50 p.m., an Erick Road resident called police about stolen gold trinkets and chains from a residence.

At 4:55 p.m., a Charles Street resident called police about a car break-in. His wallet was stolen.
At 6:41 p.m., police arrested Frank Piazza, 43, 1399 East St., Mansfield, and charged him with attempted murder (strangulation), intimidating a witness and domestic assault and battery.
Thursday, Oct. 31
At 8:20 a.m., police arrested Robert DeMarco, 48, 1 Old Colony Way, Apt. P1, Mansfield, and charged him on a warrant.
At 10:03 a.m., police responded to West Street concerning stolen equipment.
At 12:40 p.m., police responded to School Street after three aluminum ramps were stolen.
At 1:09 p.m., police responded to Central and Chauncy streets after a two-car accident. One person complained of back pain, but declined transportation to a hospital.
At 2:57 p.m., police responded to School Street about a bird attacking a woman and her son. The bird had reportedly attacked them the previous week too. Animal control responded and the bird flew away.
At 5:36 p.m., police responded to East Street about a four-car accident. There were no injuries. One vehicle was towed.
At 8:52 p.m., a Pratt Street resident reported someone stole her son’s bicycle.
