Police Log: May 23-30

This week showed a large string of thefts.

May 23

5:31 a.m. David Viveiros, 29, of 404 Town Farm Rd. in Pascoag, Rhode Island was arrested for negligent operation of a motor vehicle and crossing over a marked lane on the exit 12 ramp of Rte. 495 Southbound.

10:41 a.m. Mark Levine, 46, of 155 Wheeler Cir. in Stoughton was arrested for violating a restraining order.

 5:39 p.m. Shannon Azevedo, 24, of 55 West St. in Foxboro was arrested for shoplifting at the Mansfield Stop and Shop.

8:44 p.m. Caller reported two motor vehicles broken into in a two-hour period at the Holiday Inn. A laptop was taken from one vehicle, and a duffle bag, cell phone and purse was taken from the other.

9:26 p.m. Ronald Gushee, 30, of 17 Summit Ave. was arrested for two counts of simple assault and two counts of kidnapping. According to the wife, Gushee had not allowed his daughter to leave the residence on Summit Ave. with an infant. Police reported that the daughter and the infant were barricaded in the daughter’s room, and later escaped. Police forced entry into the residence, and later subdued Gushee. A day later he was arrested again for violation of a restraining order in Dartmouth.

 

 

May 25

11:09 p.m. Danielle Williams, 21, of 50 Crocker St. was arrested for improper use of a credit card and false representation without consent at an automatic teller machine. She was arrested by police on 50 West St.

May 26

1:51 p.m. Kayne Beauvais, 20, of 109 Walnut St. was arrested for forcible rape.

1:12 p.m. Caller reported that her camera was stolen from her bag while she was at Memorial Park. She said her camera was valued at $300.00

2:45 p.m. Caller reported that her vehicle was broken into, and several items in it, including cash, were stolen. She also said that the thief had also attempted to steal her car radio.

6:01 Caller reported that her vehicle was broken into at Memorial Park.  Reported $40.00 stolen.

 

May 27

7:27 a.m. Caller reported that he was run off the road by another  vehicle and subsequently hit a telephone pole and rock wall on Williams St.

11:31 a.m. Scott Bruce, 51, of 135 East Center St. in Easton was arrested for breaking and entering and for larceny over $250 at 345 Mill St.

2:27 p.m. Michael Leopardi, 19, of 28 Court St. was arrested for receiving stolen property. He was caught with a juvenile trying to sell the property on the street.

 

May 29

9:55 p.m. Jason Forbes, 34, of 5 Lancaster St. in Providence Rhode Island was arrested for violation of a harassment order.

10:07 p.m. Caller reported that someone tried to break into his apartment on 287 Chauncy St. Caller reported seeing a black SUV leaving the scene. Police responded and found that the front door to the building had been tampered with, and appeared to have markings on it consistent with an attempted break in.

4:19 p.m. Caller reported that a hit and run occurred during the night in his driveway near Fulton Pl.

 

May 30

1:58 p.m. Caller reported that his house had been broken into and copper piping had been stolen. Police responded and found signs of forced entry.
