Police Log: Students Racing on Heather Lane, Bike Stolen from Bike Path

The following is from the Mansfield Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned they do not indicate convictions.

Thursday, Nov. 28

At 4:02 a.m., a man reported that someone broke into his vehicle and then left with a smaller white vehicle with a loud exhaust.

At 10:20 p.m., an anonymous neighber reported that a large gathering of students were creating a disturbance and racing cars down the street on Heather Lane. An officer confiscated a small amount of a controlled substance and two grinders and the students went back inside for the evening. 

Friday, Nov. 29

At 9:53 a.m., a man reported that his bike was stolen from the back of his car 20 minutes earlier, when he was parked by the bike path on East Street. The bike was an all white Cross bike with a red seat and a red pin stripe. 

At 2:21 p.m., a woman reported that car was broken into overnight on Chilson Ave. A GPS was stolen. 

At 4:19 p.m., a caller reported possible past breaking and entering at the officer on Copeland Drive. Multiple doors were plied and windows were broken.
