Police Log: Assault, Stolen Jewelry, and More

Sunday, Dec. 8

At 4:19 p.m., a resident reported that a wallet and two necklaces were stolen from her home during a house party last night. 

At 6 p.m., a woman reported that her friend was assaulted at the Catman Cafe. The victim was reportedly assaulted by four white men. The man who allegedly instigated the fight was escorted out of the bar but returned a half hour later to ensue a fight before slipping and hitting his head on the curb. He was later taken into custody. 

Monday, Dec. 9

At 3:52 p.m., a reporting party from the Holiday Inn requested to speak to an officer to report a larceny from the hotel. 

At 9:12 p.m., a resident complained about loud dirt bikes in the area of Shaw's and West Street. The parties were advised of the complaint and called it a night.

"but returned a half hour later to ensue a fight before slipping and hitting his head on the curb. " Likely he slipped on the 100's of cigarette butts that adorn the Catman Sidewalk.

why so many badmenn at the catmann? maybe owner should pay for detail?

Only place that doesn't kick people out for some of the type of behavior that is exhibited there.

My impression of the Catman is that it's a blue collar place where most patrons know each other.

It's more of a no-collar or orange-collar place..
