Police Searching for Man Who Exposed Himself in Riverton, Palmyra

In four instances, a man—who police think is the same suspect—exposed his private parts to people on the street, including two high school students.

Police in Palmyra and Riverton are looking for a suspect who allegedly exposed himself to several people, including two Cinnaminson High School students, over the past three weeks.

Palmyra police are investigating incidents that occurred in Palmyra on Sept. 19 and Sept. 20. A third incident occurred on Oct. 4 in Riverton and a fourth the same day in Palmyra.

Riverton Police Chief John Shaw said, based on the descriptions received from the victims involved, “We believe it’s the same suspect.”

Around 3:45 p.m., Oct. 4, two female juveniles were walking along Riverton Road in Riverton when a male in a dark gray vehicle approached them. Police said the driver passed them, did a U-turn and turned back around. The juveniles told police the man exposed himself. Police said the females screamed and ran off causing the suspect to drive away.

About a half hour later, a similar incident occurred on Garfield Avenue in Palmyra.

“It’s a wide range of victims,” Shaw said. “It’s also adults, it’s not just juveniles.”

Shaw said there was no contact made with any of the victims.

“He just pulled up next to them,” he said. “You would almost think he was going to ask for directions. When they looked over, they observed him [exposing himself] in the vehicle.”

Cinnaminson Police issued a townwide phone message alerting residents since the incidents occurred to Cinnaminson students and all were close to the township.

The driver of the car is described as a Hispanic or light-skinned black male who had his pants down and was touching himself. The car described by all the victims is a two-door, dark gray or black spray-painted Honda CRX with a loud muffler.

Police are asking anyone who may have information or have been approached by this person and not reported the incident to call police—Palmyra Police 856-829-0191, Riverton Police 856-829-1212.

Chief Shaw sent a letter home to Riverton students with safety tips if this driver and vehicle approach someone. They are:

1) Run in the opposite direction the vehicle is traveling.

2) Call 911.

3) Go to the nearest house and ask for help.

4) Try to gather as much information as possible about the suspect and the vehicle and report this information to the responding officer.

5) Always be cognizant of your surroundings.

This creep thinks it will never stand up in Court. (Sorry) When caught he will just get a slap on the wrist instead of where it would do the most good. Whereas most people, myself included, cannot fathom what possible kicks or enjoyment can be achieved by this despicable conduct. My experiance and that of the medical society, believe that this will escalate to more serious contact with victims. Good people keep your eyes open, and a pen handy, to record the Tag number and car description. With Cell phones being handy, call your Police dept. immediately. This is a very SICK person. ~Rick Magee, FL

I have seen this car behind manny's pizza in palmyra. I believe he lives in one of those apartmentments above. I have seen him working on that car several times. He must be in hiding since they can't find him. If I see the little scum bag I will take him in myself or give him a beating. Keep your eyes out. And yes I did report it to the cinnaminson pd.

Hi folks, If you have any information, I highly suggest you contact the police department. Some people are emailing and calling me with information on the alleged suspect but that information is meant for the police. The numbers are above in the article. Thanks. Christina
