Three Civilians Prevent Stricken Worker From Falling off Roof

A worker from J.T. Construction suffered a seizure while working on the roof of a triple decker in Mansfield.

The Fire Department plans to recognize three civilians for saving the life of a constructions worker by keeping him from falling off the roof of a Pleasant Street Triple Decker while he suffered a seizure, Fire Chief Neal Boldrighini told the Sun Chronicle

The man, an employee of J.T. Construction, suffered a seizure on Nov. 14 and his boss Christopher Austin, co-worker Jason Guimond, and Matt McLaughlin, a local painting contractor who was a house next door.

McLaughlin and firefighters got up to the roof just in time because Austin would not have been able to hold on much longer. The was stabilized and in good condition before he was transported to Morton Hospital in Taunton.
