Census to be Sent Out in Mansfield for Jan. 2013

The following is from the office of the Mansfield Town Clerk.

The Annual Census will be sent out at the beginning of January and are due back no later than Jan. 31. 

At this time, I would like to remind residents the importance of returning the census because the information gathered through the census is used in obtaining an accurate town population and is used in obtaining grants for the town of Mansfield for things such as schools and road improvements.

In addition, in an emergency when seconds count, the census is just another way of helping our public safety personnel do their job.

Finally, as many residents who came to vote this past November can attest, when the census is not answered, the Town Clerk’s office is mandated to inactivate any voters in the household.
