Legislators Urge Customers to 'Walk Away' From New Bank of America Fee [Poll]

Two democrats in congress are calling for customers to find competitors who will not charge a debit card fee.

In light of a new regulation enacted last week by Bank of America that charges a monthy fee of $5 on debit cards, legislators in congress, Dick Durbin (D - Illinois) and Brad Miller (D - North Carolina) are urging customers to switch banks.

Miller, who is a representative in Bank of America's home state is looking to create legislation that would make it easier to change banks, including easier transfers of direct deposits.
