Mansfield Readying for the Nov. 6 Election

Mansfield officials have a traffic plan in place to facilitate a smooth election.

Mansfield is gearing up for the election, and this year they will be ready at the high school.

This time around, the election at the high school will be facilitated for traffic reasons. Mansfield town manager William Ross said that traffic will only allowed to enter through the east entrance near Ware Street.

"We anticipate a very large turnout for this election,” Ross said.  “There was also a significant number of new registrations.”

Ross added that there are already more than 600 absentee ballots cast already. While traffic will still be an issue on East Street, Mansfield officials said they hope that it will be as smooth as possible.

“Presidential election is always very busy at the polls,” Ross said. “We recognize there will be some inconvenience.”
