North Common Flag Replacement to be Considerably Cheaper than South
Mansfield selectmen look at the North Common Flagpole and its current state of degradation.
Mansfield selectmen, after rebuilding the South Common Flagpole in memorial to Corey Shea, are looking at rebuilding the North Common flagpole.
"The cost for the second one won't be as bad as the irst one," selectman Jess Aptowitz said last Wednesday.
Aptowitz went on to say that they could use the base of the current flagpole to help build a new one. The base, the part of the pole that isn't really visable, is, according to Aptowitz, still stable and able to be built upon.
