Oct. 2 Selectmen: Flagpole Sitter, Land Use and Parking

The following is a summary of events from the Mansfield Board of Selectmen meeting on Oct. 10.

The Mansfield Board of Selectmen voted 4-0 (with Dentino absent) on a motion to waive to remove Mansfield only resident parking from the foundry parking area.

Selectmen discussed  a motion add a $30,000 appropriation article to the special fall town meeting in November for a new flagpole at the North Common.

A motion to adopt new procedure concerning land use in Mansfield in regards to conservation and selling town-owned land failed 3-2 (with Kozlowski and Annino voting for). Selectman Kevin Moran said he voted against the motion because he felt the provisions at this time were not congruent with current regulation.

Mansfield selectmen voted 5-0 to accept bonds in anticipation of $544,000 total.
