'Shmutz Busters' get an early start on the Cleanup

'Shmutz Busters' of the Chabad Jewish Center - cleaned the litter on N Main Street on Sunday April 21 from 2-3, in advance of the great American Cleanup of Mansfield coming up on Saturday, April 27.

Coined the 'Shmutz Busters,' local residents - affiliated with the Chabad Jewish Center - set out to clean the litter on North Main Street on Sunday April 21 from 2-3.

This was in advance of the upcoming Great American Cleanup scheduled for Saturday April 27. Rabbi Yossi Kivman was happy to "be part of this important and exciting cause," at the same time, being able to observe the Shabbos (Jewish Sabbath).

Neil Rhein, the executive director of 'Keep Mansfield Beautiful,' provided the group with litter grabber sticks, trash bags and t-shirts.

"What a great way to do a Mitzvah, and enjoy the benefit of contributing to beautifying our town," said Tzivi Kivman, Co-Director of the Chabad Jewish Center.

Volunteers were treated to delicious bagels 'n' lox and rugelach pastries.
