Al-Noor Graduation Flawless Event

Islamic academy graduates 12, promotes 15 in ceremony at Mansfield High.

A dozen seniors graduated Saturday from Al-Noor Academy, in ceremonies at Mansfield High School. Al-Noor (which means "The Light" in Arabic) is a private, Islamic-based school located on Church Street in Mansfield.

Concurrent with the senior graduation, 15 eighth graders received certificates indicating they had successfully completed middle school, and matriculated to the high school.

Diplomas and certificates were presented by Dr. Abdulfatah Elshaar, chairman of Al-Noor's board of directors, assisted by Sister Siham Yagoubi, lead teacher.
