Connect the Dots: How do we Improve Education in this Fiscal Mess?

Mansfield hosting a lecture on education reform

Sometimes it is difficult to explain how state and local budget priorities or tax policies directly impact our communities.  Research shows that the way you talk about these issues, and about government itself, can dramatically change the conversation and help to rebuild people’s confidence in what we can accomplish together.

Sondra Peskoe, Consultant from ONE Massachusetts, a project of the Public Policy Institute, will talk about government, taxes and public structures on Wednesday, April 6, sponsored by Mansfield Stand for Children, and the Mansfield Democratic Town Committee.  She will provide an analysis of the public’s current attitudes towards government, including principles for rebuilding a fundamental appreciation of the unique role that government can and should play in society, and practical way to implement these lessons into your daily communications.

Responses will be presented by Marilyn Powers and Joe Kaplan, Vice Chairs of the Mansfield Democratic Town Committee and John McKenna, Chairman of the Mansfield Republican Town Committee.
