Eagles, Hornets Wrestle to a Tie

Sharon competes in Saturday's Peckam Tournament at Canton.

Wednesday night's and Mansfield High School varsity wrestling match ended 40-40 after a first-period pin by one of Massachusetts' top wrestlers in the match's final event.

Sharon led 40-34 entering that match between Eagles sophomore Brett Robinson and the Hornets' Dan Gilmore in the 152 weight class, Sharon head coach Anthony Lucie said.

Gilmore, ranked fifth in Massachusetts in that weight class, pinned Robinson, who's in his first year wrestling varsity, Lucie said.
