Gym Floor to Undergo Repairs at Mansfield High School

The project is expected to cost around $325,000, an increase over the original expected cost of $270,000.

School officials in Mansfield are planning to fix the gym floor in Mansfield High School, the Sun Chronicle reported Thursday.

Under the plan, officials look to refinish the floor and make improvements to the gym's ventilation, as well as add moisture control, according to the report.

The project is expected to take the summer to complete and cost approximately $325,000, an increase over $270,000 that was allocated in the Fiscal Year 2014 school budget at last year's Town Meeting. As such, finance officials in town will need to pull funding from projects planned for this year to make up the difference, according to the Sun Chronicle.
