Mansfield Boys Cross-Country Defeats Foxborough and Sharon

Mansfield runners pull past the competition

Mansfield High School runners finished, propelling the boys cross-country team past both host and Foxborough on Friday.

Mansfield defeated Sharon, 15 to 50, and Foxborough, 20 to 43, according to results provided by Alan Conway, one of Sharon's coaches. Sharon defeated Foxborough, 20 to 40.

Foxborough's Brendan Sullivan finished the 2.8-mile course at Sharon's Deborah Sampson Park first, in 15:08.

Mansfield then took places two through eight: Dave Morrill, 15:09; Kham Haleudeth, 15:12; Brendan McCarthy, 15:15; Dan Caughey, 15:18; Nate Michener, 15:21; Mitch Negus, 15:25; and Zach Frazier, 15:30.

Sharon then went on its own streak, five straight: Michael Dupuis, 15:41; Adam Selsman, 15:47; Brendan Lee, 15:51; Ben Ryter, 15:57; and Dan Scribner, 16:05.

The Hockomock League Championships are Saturday at Borderland State Park in Easton.
