Mansfield, Foxborough And Sharon Schools Get Green Awards

Green Schools program is tonight at Mansfield High School.

The Sharon, Foxborough and Mansfield public schools will be honored Monday night for promoting healthy living.

Green Schools' 2011 Green Difference Awards presentation is from 6 to 9 p.m. at Mansfield High School.

Mansfield-based Green Schools is a nonprofit promoting "greener and healthier learning environments through education and awareness," according to its website.

The Sharon, Foxborough and Mansfield schools will receive a Green Program Award for participating in the Hockomock Area YMCA's Healthy Futures Initiative.

The Mansfield schools also will receive a Green Schools Award.

And Mansfield High senior Lexie Raczka will be honored as a Green Student. She is the president and founder of the Green Earth Hornets.

Also, the Dover-Sherborn Regional School District's Composting Initiative Green Difference Awards will receive a Green Project Award.

And Dover-Sherborn High School senior Aaron Small will be honored as a Green Student.
