Mansfield High Hockey Scores Shutout Win Against Stoughton

The Black Knights fell 6-0 to Mansfield Monday afternoon.

Fueled by four first period goals, the Mansfield High Hockey team scored a 6-0 win over Monday afternoon at the Asiaf Arena in Brockton.

With the loss, Stoughton falls to 1-9, shutout for the fourth straight game. Mansfield is now 9-1.

Mansfield’s Eric Foley got the scoring started 3:57 into the game. Teammates Mike Blackman, Jason Collins and Pete Walters added the other goals in the period.

The Hornets scored single goals in the second and third periods, with Foley recording his second goal of the game in the second period.

Stoughton goalie PJ Sheehan made 35 saves for the Black Knights. He now has more than 150 saves in just his last four games.

Stoughton takes on Attleboro on Wednesday (in Taunton at the Aleixo Arena), while the Hornets return to the Asiaf the same night for a game against Oliver Ames.
