Mansfield High School Moves to Semi-Finals in One-Act Play Festival

Members of the cast and crew of MHS' The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) Act 2 earn All-Star Cast Award.

Mansfield's performance of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) Act 2 earned them a win this past Saturday in Sharon at the Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild (METG) High School One-Act Play Festival Preliminary Round. This play is student directed by Mansfield High School senior, Ashley Goverman, as part of her senior project. Her mentor, Jessica Strunin, theater teacher at Qualter's Middle School, served as coordinator of the play. 

The following members of the cast and crew were recognized on Saturday with an All-Star Cast Award. This award is presented to the top performers or crew members of the day.

Over 115 one-act plays were performed on Saturday at 14 different locations across the state. The semi-finals of the festival will be on March 10th. Mansfield will be competing at the D.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River and their performance time is 12:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are only available at the door.
