Two Mansfield Students Recognized By National Merit Scholarship Program

Mansfield's Emily Crawford and Ellen Mahoney are among 11 Bishop Feehan seniors named as Commended Students in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program.

The Following is a statement from Bishop Feehan High School:

Bishop Feehan High School principal George Milot announced that eleven students have been named as Commended Students in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program.  A Letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, was presented by the principal to the following scholastically talented seniors: Austin Burlone (Foxboro), Marissa Chura (N. Attleboro), Emily Crawford (Mansfield), Kerry Desmond (Norton), Nathaniel Gallishaw (Seekonk), Sean Lydon (Rumford, RI), Ellen Mahoney (Mansfield), Elaney Marcotte (Attleboro), Francis Morley (Norton), Hannah Mullen (Rehoboth), and Nicole Steiner (N. Attleboro).

About 34,000 commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. These Commended Students place among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2014 competition by taking the 2012 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
