You Ask....Mansfield Patch Answers: Is the Green Machine Coming Down?
A reader recently asked if the Incredible Hulk painting in the MHS gym is coming down. Find out what Patch found out about the Hulk's fate.
Recently, one of our readers asked if the painting of the Incredible Hulk known as the Green Machine that graces the wall in the Mansfield High School gymnasium was coming down. While the school budget does have money set aside for wall repairs in the gym, the extent of the repairs was not listed.
Looking to get a better answer, Mansfield Patch recently asked Superintendent Brenda Hodges if the giant Incredible Hulk that has looked over athletic activities since the 70s was going to go.
Sadly, the answer is yes. The Incredible Hulk will be a victim of wall repairs.

According to Hodges, the school is required to do structural repairs and the current condition of the wall means extensive repairs must be done.
With repairs to the wall, saving the Green Machine could not be guaranteed. Currently, the plan is to simply paint over the wall once the repairs are done.
