31 Hornets Named Spring Hockomock All-Stars
The Hockomock League has released it's list of all-stars for the spring 2013 season.
In the final sports season of the school year, 31 Mansfield student-athletes were named Hockomock All-Starts with an additional seven receiving honorable mentions.
The most all-stars were found on the boys’ spring track team with 15 all stars.
Daniel Romano, Dean Jenssen, Miguel Villar-Perez, Matt Baldasare, Daniel Caughey, Curtis Boisvert, James Cooney, Aiden Friend, Kevin Makie, Conor Monks, Christopher Murphy, James Murphy, Colin Rumbel, Andrew Simons, and Timothy White all received all-star honors while thrower Oliver Erickson was given an honorable mention.

Having another successful season, the boys won six events at the league meet and produced 23 top five finishes.
The girls’ spring track team led all girls’ team and had the second most overall all-stars with seven.

Mikaila Amerantes, Rachel Stier, Ashley Bjorkman, Samantha Carey, Kelsey Ferreira, Madeleine Oldow, and Julia Jones were all named all-stars after the Hornets won the league title.
An honorable mention went to Caitlin Finnerty.
Just as their counterparts on the boys' team did, the Hornets were able to produce a strong showing at the league meet with four individual wins and 19 top five placements.
In tennis, Emma Yeransian and Eric Sun were both named all-stars in a season that saw both the girls’ and the boys’ teams advance to tournament play.
Baseball players George Bezreh and Jeffrey Perillo were also named all-stars. As a pitcher, Perillo finished the season with a 2.18 ERA while Berzreh had a batting average of .404.
Adam Blake received an honorable mention.
Erin Galvin was the lone all-star from the softball team while Colleen LaRose received an honorable mention.
On the lacrosse teams, Brendan Murphy, Maria Platsidakis, Jessica Buckley, and Meghan DeLang were named all-stars. Michael Rogazzo and Colleen LaRose were given honorable mentions.
