Brendan Hill Attracting Attention From Division 1 Colleges

The MHS football and basketball star recently revealed that some local Division 1 colleges have begun to recruit him.

For anyone that has seen Brendan Hill play football or basketball, the news that the Mansfield athletics star is being recruited to play Division 1 sports should come as no surprise.

The Hockomock All-Star in football and league MVP in basketball recently told New England Hoop News he will participate in football prospect camps for UMass, Boston College, and UConn.

Hill added that he received camp letters from Syracuse and Nebraska but cannot engage in serious talks until he becomes a junior this fall.

Finishing his sophomore year of high school, Hill has emerged as one of the area's best prospects in football and basketball.

During the Hornets' 2012 football season, Hill led the team in receptions (48), receiving yards (849), yards per catch (17.7), and touchdown receptions (11).

On the basketball court, Hill averaged 13.4 points a game and helped lead the Hornets to their first ever appearance in the Division 1 State Championship game.

In addition to the prospect camps, Hill plans to play basketball for the BABC's 16-U club in AAU competition this summer.
