Coach Redding Still in USA Today Best Coaches Contest

And then there were 51. 

Mansfield High Football Coach Mike Redding has advance past the state round of the USA Today "America's Best Coach" Contest and will now be in the regional round. He is one of just 51 out of 408 coaches who were voted to advance between September 30 to October 8. 

The regional round began at noon on Oct. 8 and ends at noon on Oct. 18., according to the USA Today website. The eight regional winners will move on to the national round, which takes place between Oct. 21 and Oct. 29. All finalists will receive banners for their schools and the top five will win $2,000, $1,000, $500, $250, and $100 for their school departments respectively.
