Faulk Says Good-Bye to New England Patriots Fans

Longtime New England Patriots running back Kevin Faulk announced his retirement Tuesday morning.

 

Flashing the jewelry from his 13 years with the New England Patriots, running back Kevin Faulk announced his retirement from the NFL Wednesday morning at the Hall at Patriot Place.

A tearful Faulk displayed his Super Bowl and American Football Conference rings as he thanked those who helped him have a successful career in the NFL.

Faulk played all 13 seasons with New England after being drafted out of LSU and wasn't resigned after the 2011 season.

“Kevin was just so adept at figuring out his role, doing it the very best that he could," said Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. "He was the ultimate team player, hardest worker, always well prepared. I can’t remember asking a question in a team meeting that he didn’t have the right answer to.”
