Mansfield Boys' Track Team Heads for All-States
Shayne Collins, Josh Lampron and 4 x 100 relay team seeded No. 1 in state.
After winning the Division 2 state title last Saturday at Bridgewater State University, the Mansfield High boys’ track team will be going for the All-State title this Saturday at BSU.
Josh Lampron, 800 meters, 1:54:01, is seeded No. 1 , while Shayne Collins in the top two-mile, at 9:08.78. Both won their races at the Class 2 meet. The 4 x 100 relay team is also seeded No. 1 after winning the division title in 3:23.02.
Nick King is seeded second in the 400 meters at 48.53, while teammate Griffin Robertson is third at 19:40. King’s mark was a new school record.

Anthony Todesco is seeded second in the discus at 158 feet, 2 inches. He won the discus at the class meet with a personal best toss.
The 4 x 800 relay team is seeded fourth with a time of 8:03.8.

Senior Jeff Hill is listed fifth in the triple jump at 43 feet, 3 inches after finishing first in class meet. He also scored three points in the high jump at the class meet.
Ryan Petrella is seeded eighth in the 400 meters hurdles after being third at the class meet at 55.69 meters.
In the long jump, the Hornets’ Jeremy Burke is seeded 21st in the long jump at 20 feet, 5 inches, while Patrick Greaney is 22nd at 20 feet, 7.5 inches.
