The Mansfield High football team will be taking part in the Under Armour Northeast 7 v 7 New England Championship tournament Tuesday, July 30, at Bishop Fenwick High in Peabody.
Mansfield is South finalist in the 24 team field from Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The event will start with three hours of pool play at 4 p.m.
After that, 12 teams will advance to the elimination games towards the eventual champion from 7-9 p.m.

Mansfield went 3-1 in South region, defeating Wellesley, Marian Catholic and Medfield in the opening rounds at Oliver Ames High School, Sunday, July 21. In the "Sweet Sixteen" game, Hornet quarterback Kyle Wisnieski threw a touchdown pass to Miguel Perez on the final play of the game. Mansfield then defeated Middleboro in the Elite 8 game. In the semifinals, Wisnieski again threw another touchdown pass on the final play to Kyle Hurley.
In the finals, Mansfield lost their only game of the day to St. Paul's of Connecticut, 36-30.
