Mansfield Girls' Track Team Best in State

Mansfield High's Kristen McDonagh won the All-State high jump title and the Hornets were the top team overall.

With 38 points, Mansfield was able to outdistance Newton North's 29. McDonagh cleared 5 feet, 6 inches for the title. 

Jen Esposito had a big day for the Hornets with two second places in the 55 meter hurdles in 8.52 and in the 300 meters in 39.97.

The Hornets' 4 x 200 relay team of Emily Broyles, Kayla Comer, Julia Jones and Jess Verbic were third at 1:46.72.

Mansfield's 4 x 400 relay team of Brittany Greene, Amanda Zielselman, Molly Jenssen and Jones were 19th at 4:13.40.
