GIRLS' CROSS-COUNTRY:
Mansfield finished the tri-meet season with a 3-3 record after beating Foxborough, 19-45, and Sharon, 28-31, Friday in Sharon. Emily Sarkisian was the top Mansfield runner in third place.
NEXT MEET: Saturday, Oct. 29, Hockomock League Championships, Borderland State Park, Easton.
FIELD HOCKEY:
Mansfield 1, Foxborough 0
The 10-4-4 Hornets got a goal from Meg Doherty.
NEXT MATCH: The Hornets will find who they will be playing in the state tournament when the MIAA announces its pairings Monday.
BOYS' SOCCER:
Mansfield 1, Franklin 1
Dan Sarkis had the Mansfield. The Hornets fell to 2-8-5 on the season.
NEXT GAME: Saturday, Oct. 29: Hockomock League Crossover, Stoughton, noon.
GIRLS' SOCCER:
Mansfield 1, King Philip 0. Kelly English gets the shut out and Michaela Bowes scored the goal.
Mansfield 1, Franklin 1: Katie McCarthy had the lone for the 8-3-5 Hornets, who finished second to Franklin in the Kelly-Rex Standings.
Saturday, Oct. 28: Hockomock League Crossover game, Oliver Ames at Mansfield, 2 p.m.
VOLLEYBALL:
Mansfield 3, Stoughton 0
The Hornets qualified the tournament with a win over the Black Knights in the Hockomock League Crossover Game.
Franklin 3, Mansfield 0
Mansfield lost 25-17, 25-14 and 25-15 to the Panthers. Now, the 9-9 Hornets need to win one of their last two matches of the season.
NEXT MATCH: Monday, Oct. 31: Mansfield at Needham, 5:15 p.m.
GOLF:
Mansfield was fifth in the league match at Granite Hills in Quincy Wednesday with a 248. Canton edged out Sharon by one strike for the team title at 242 to 243. Mansfield top scorer was Terry O'Mara with an 80, while Connor Grandin, 83 and Brendan Callahan, 84.
The Hornets finished ninth in the South Sectionals with a 335. Callanan was the top scorer at 79.
