Mansfield's Hill Back for Second Season for Bentley Football

After scoring three touchdowns as a freshman, Mansfield's Jeff Hill is returning for his second season at Bentley University.

Mansfield's Jeff Hill and the rest of the Bentley University football team will return to campus for its preseason camp Sunday with the 89-man roster including five players returning for their fifth year of eligibility, a quintet that includes first-team All-Northeast-10 Conference tackle  Nick Halloran of Somerville.

A former Mansfield High football and basketball standout, the sophomore Hill appeared in eight games as a freshman with six catches in eight game for 156 yards and three touchdowns.

Waltham's Don and Steve Hopkins, both defensive backs, tight-end Jon Wilkie and tailback Bobby Tarr are the other fifth-year seniors returning.

One of the major decisions that fourth-year head coach

Bentley will open its 10-game schedule Aug. 31 with a Friday night home game against Pace University and will play its only non-conference contest of the season eight days later, at West Virginia Wesleyan.

The regular season will conclude Nov. 10 with the first Northeast-10 championship weekend. The top two teams will square off for the NE-10 title, and the third, fourth and fifth place teams will also host games.
