Mansfield's Hopkins Named Midwest League Player of the Week

Mansfield's Greg Hopkins has been on a tear from the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at the plate, earning Midwest League Player of the Week.

(A Press Release from Midwest League)

The Midwest League recognized something that the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers have known for a couple of weeks. Rattlers infielder Greg Hopkins was named the Hitter of the Week in the MWL on May 7 for his performance from April 30 through May 6.

Hopkins, a 24th round pick of the Milwaukee Brewers out of St. John's in 2010, went 11-for-20 with a double, a triple, two homers, six runs scored, and eight RBI in just five games last week. He also struck out just one time and stole a base.
