Mansfield lost 27-22 to Foxboro Wednesday night at home. The Hornets were celebrating senior night and George Bezreh, Sam Borden, Connor Burns, Joe Herrick, Tyler McKay, Sam McLoughlin, Joe Pucino and Shane Walsh were all honored accordingly before the match.
Mansfield was leading 22-15 until they were forced to forfeit their last two matches resulting in the loss. Senior captains Joe Herrick (dec. 6-1) and Sam McLoughlin (dec. 4-2) along with fellow seniors Tyler McKay (dec. 10-2) and Shane Walsh (pin 3:30) all won their matches. McKay and Walsh, both first year wrestlers have provided a big boost for the team this season. Also winning for Mansfield were junior Jake McCaffrey (dec. 9-8) and sophomore Sam Caskey (dec. 6-4).
The Hornets next wrestle Saturday in a super quad at Barnstable High School.
