Dear Parents,
This letter is provided for clarification regarding some of the questions that are being asked about the Saturday school schedule. It is the intent of the district that these days will provide the same schedule and instructional experience that is provided on any day throughout the school year.
- These days will be half day sessions for students and full day sessions for teachers.
- There is no state statute or regulation that mandates a minimum attendance to count towards the required 180 day school year for students.
- If students or families have previously scheduled obligations for these dates, parents should send a note to this effect. Student absences will be recorded as excused. Students will be required to make up missed work, but not penalized for the absence.
- There will be no CHAMPS Program on these days.
- The Little Hornets Program will run as normally scheduled.
- AM Kindergarten students will attend classes on Saturday, March 5th. There will be no PM Kindergarten.
- PM Kindergarten students will attend classes on Saturday, April 2nd. There will be no AM Kindergarten.
- NO School at the Roland Green.
- Breakfast will be served at Robinson and Jordan Jackson.
- Lunches will not be served throughout the district.
- This will be a full work day for teachers.
- Buses will run as usual and students will be picked up at regular stops and times, with the exception of daycare students who will be picked up & dropped off at their neighborhood stops
