The Mansfield High Hornets head into the Division 2 MIAA state football championship as the number one seed in the South Division.
The Hornets, who The Boston Globe rank as the third best team in the state, will open the playoffs against Wellesley. The game is at 6 p.m. Friday in Mansfield.
The Hornets will be joined in the South Division with Barnstable, Natick, Needham, Duxbury, King Philip, Marshfield and Wellesley.
