Vaughan Named Boston Globe Coach of the Year, Hill Named All-Scholastic

Members of the Mansfield boys' basketball team earned more accolades as the Boston Globe announced their All-Scholastic selections and coaches of the year.

This weekend, the Boston Globe announced their All-Scholastic teams and their picks for the top coaches for the Winter 2012-13 season.

Among the selections were one basketball player and a coach from Mansfield. Brendan Hill was named an All-Scholastic in basketball and head coach Michael Vaughan was named one of four coaches of the year.

The award was just the latest for the sophomore Hill who was named the Hockomock League MVP earlier this year. After nine seasons as the head coach of the Hornets, Vaughan sports a record of 138-70.
