Mansfield helps out.

Close to 400 students and volunteers came out on Friday to help rake leaves for the Annual Leaf Raking event in Mansfield.

The event centers on leaf raking for senior citizens who can no longer do it themselves. Students from Mansfield public schools came to help out.

"The really outstanding surprise this year was the amount of adult supervisors who stepped up," Donna Harrington, secretary for the Mansfield Council on Aging said. "It is so wonderful to see parents support this worthwhile project.   They are putting into practice what they teach their children. There  No better way to show them that Mansfield really is a wonderful giving community.
