Viewfinder: Mansfield Youth Help Cleanup

A local senior citizen had a problem after Tropical Storm Irene.

She couldn't clean up her yard and surrounding area on West Street, so she called the Highway Department for help. The Highway Department called the Mansfield Council on Aging, who contacted Bill Ross, who in turn contacted Gale Farrugia; all in an effort to find someone to help.

Kelly Kemp and her eighth grade girls soccer team answered the call and spent a day cleaning up the yard on West Street. To the right are photos of their exploits.
